Body Fat Calculator
Estimate your body fat percentage with the U.S. Navy circumference method.
Enter your measurements to estimate your body fat percentage.
Formula
U.S. Navy method — men: 495 ÷ (1.0324 − 0.19077·log₁₀(waist − neck) + 0.15456·log₁₀(height)) − 450
How to calculate
- 1Measure your neck below the larynx and your waist at the navel (men), or neck, waist and hips (women), with a soft tape.
- 2Subtract neck from waist (and hips for women) to get the key circumference term.
- 3Apply the Navy logarithmic formula above for your sex, in centimetres.
- 4Compare the result to fitness ranges: roughly 10–20% for men and 18–28% for women.
